Saint James Church Renovations
-
Help Us Build a Center for Art and Nature
The Saint James Lutheran Church (Chalfont, PA) was built in 1857 and was inhabited until 2007. The building is 10,000 sq feet and is adjacent to a historic cemetery consisting of over 500 graves for some of the very people who built Chalfont in the late 1800s.
This space is in dire need of renovation.
Nestled in the heart of our small town, residents desperately want a favorable fate for this monumental feature of our community.
Our Proposition: transform the Church into The Unity Center for Art and Nature (UCAN), a facility that promotes common unity through a shared space dedicated to art and nature. The Center’s Mission is to create a space for our community’s individuals to gather and be part of a distinct catalyst for participatory positive change.
A interdisciplinary home for Bucks County, PA legacy stakeholders in arts and nature to collaborate, provide stewardship, and offer educational resources.
